Facets
What are facets?
Veneers are thin porcelain shells that are custom-made and placed on the front surface of teeth. They correct defects and imperfections and give a smile a natural and aesthetic appearance.
When are veneers used?
- with minimal defects and flaws in the teeth
- for correcting mild orthodontic anomalies
- to achieve a brighter and more harmonious smile
What are the advantages of veneers?
- Minimal filing (0.2–0.5 mm) of the tooth surface
- Porcelain imitates natural enamel and is durable over time.
- The material does not stain, unlike composites
- Extremely thin structure
- The patient participates in choosing the color and shape of the smile
How does veneer treatment work?
- Photo documentation and scanning of teeth with an intraoral scanner
- Discussing the desired “ideal smile”
- Digital design and visualization of the result
- Clarification of the length, color and shape of the teeth
- Minimally invasive preparation
- Scan and send to the lab
- Making a temporary structure for shaping the gums
- Fixing the final veneers
